PERFORMANCE ART

PAPER SYMBIOTE SELF

Wan Theatre, Shinehouse Theatre, Taipei, Taiwan, 2024

Paper Symbiote Self is an interdisciplinary performance exploring the internal struggle of anxiety through movement experimentation, paper abstraction, and video installation. Animating abstract paper figures, I embody the battle for control against a parasitic force symbolising societal pressures.

Created in collaboration with the Taiwanese community and Wan Theatre, the work emerged through workshops, interviews, and video documentation, allowing authentic voices and experiences to shape the process. I also examined how social media amplifies anxiety and reinforces false-self constructions, integrating this research into the visual and performative language. Real images of loneliness captured on the streets and personal storytelling deepen the piece, inviting audiences to reflect on mental health and identity in the digital age.

Puppet Reality

Urban Nation Museum, Berlin, 2025
Urban Nation Fresh A.I.R. & Stiftung Berliner Leben

An interdisciplinary barbie performance about the mechanisms of propaganda and ideological control. The Algorithm driven dramaturgy twists language and logic to reflect how propaganda reshapes reality. Blending documentary material, and abstract puppetry, the project challenges viewers to examine how systems of control construct, rewrite, and weaponize identity.

FREIHEIT TOURS
Experience control like never before!

Performance, Soli-Demo, Berlin, Germany, 2025
A demonstration & performance against Hungary’s Pride ban, organized by Freie Ungarische Botschaft and Campact.

Together with stage director Panni Néder, we created an absurd performance addressing the restricted freedom of assembly and expression — a threat that sets a dangerous precedent for everyone’s rights.

The performance takes the form of a travel agency opening, inviting the audience to discover Hungary — promoted as the best place for democracy, yet paradoxically warning them not to attend Pride because it is deemed dangerous. This participatory movement acts as a distorted mirror, reflecting the absurdity of autocratic systems by playfully manipulating reality.

Grief (悲しみ) Performance

Aichi Prefectural University of the Arts & Museum, Nagoya, Japan, 2023

“dance with my grief”
As an interdisciplinary artist at Aichi University of the Arts, I engaged in community-based practice through workshops and research. My artistic exploration focused on grief, culminating in a hybrid art project that combined exhibition, video installation, and puppet performance. This work synthesised traditional Japanese theatrical elements with contemporary art, informed by research into community experiences of loss.

Performance
OFF – Biennále Budapest
Bura Gallery, 2025

Abstract performance at the finissage of the exhibition “ON THE EDGE – BETWEEN UNCERTAINTY AND SAFETY” at Bura Gallery, part of OFF-Biennale Budapest.

The exhibition explored the tension between uncertainty and security—how we navigate the fragile balance in borderline situations.

My contribution was a puppet performance that responded to this thematic arc through a search for identity.
