I am an interdisciplinary artist and puppeteer working between Budapest and Berlin. I earned my Master’s degree in puppetry from the University of Theatre and Film Arts in Budapest. Following my graduation, I spent several years leading participatory theatre (TiE) for children across Hungary, providing space to explore complex issues like mental health, bullying, and healing through creative expression. I have also worked for many years in the theatre and film industries as a performer with various companies. My recent artistic practice combines puppetry, new-media installation, and performance and I examine radicalisation through digital and written propaganda, focusing on how autocratic language shapes collective and individual mindsets, striving to raise critical awareness regarding the invisible mechanisms of manipulation. I have lived and developed projects in Japan, Taiwan, and Germany, and in 2026 I will research homophobic disinformation culture in the USA.
Through material experimentation and local, workshop-based research, I explore how urgent social and political issues can be articulated through specific material processes. I primarily work with recycled materials such as paper and plastic, and challenge traditional tools and media by reusing and recontextualising them in contemporary ways. In Hungary, I am currently developing socially engaged projects that merge puppetry with speech and auditory development for hearing-impaired children, highlighting my dedication to community-driven art. I also maintain an ongoing research practice on the Japanese puppetry technique Bunraku, both theoretically (materiality and emotional manipulation) and practically (puppet construction and visual abstraction). I aim to bring diverse fields together, compressing them into multilayered artistic forms dedicated to visualizing abstract political concepts.
